St. Christopher is providing desserts for the Connoquenessing Meals-on-Wheels program for the 3rd week of August. A Sign-up sheet is in St. Christopher Church lobby or you can call the Newman Center to sign up. Please label baked
goods M.O.W.

Please identify all baked goods and have them wrapped for freezing (type of
baked goods & date). Please no nuts or peanut butter or icing. If your
item needs icing to be completed, include a container of store-bought icing.
Baked goods should be put in the St. Christopher hall freezer.

Meals on Wheels is also in need of diabetic box cake mixes & icings, brownie
mixes and sugar-free puddings in assorted flavors. These can be left in the St.
Christopher church hall. Any questions call Donna Ochaba (724-865-2936).
Thank you for contribution to the M-O-W program. Your donations help
keep the program for our homebound seniors affordable

The Slippery Rock Feed My Sheep Food Cupboard would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to the 33 wonderful volunteers who made it possible to deliver 561 meals to the children of our area through the Summer Lunch Program the week of July 8th - 12th.  Because of your generosity and dedication we were able to provide lunches for a full week, enabling children to have nutritional, delicious meals this summer. It couldn’t have happened without you!!

In October our parish Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) journey begins. The RCIA is designed for persons who wish to explore the Catholic faith and/or are considering entering the Church. It is also for those adults who may be baptized Catholic but did not receive some or any of the Sacraments beyond baptism. We will meet weekly October-March and engage in prayerful study and discussion of the person of Christ and the Catholic Faith in preparation for reception of the Sacraments of Baptism,
Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation at the Easter Vigil, 2020.
We welcome all inquirers. If you or someone you know are interested in knowing more, please feel free to contact our RCIA Coordinator, Katie Boosel at or 724-794-2880, or stop in at the Newman Center now or anytime before October.

Our Parishes welcome Matthew

George Snyder and Reed Kieran
Taggart into our faith community
through the Sacrament of Baptism.
May they continue to grow in God’s
love as they share the gift of life God
has given them with family andfriends.
